1967 Fender Bassman Black Face Panel Vintage Tube Amp Head AB165 USA
This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire an extremely rare and historically significant piece of rock history: a 1967 Fender Bassman Amp Head. This head represents the highly sought-after Silverface Transition era, and its originality is confirmed by the attached tube chart featuring the clear two-letter date code "QG", indicating a manufacturing date of July 1967. Amplifiers from this specific year are becoming exceedingly difficult to find, and this unit, with its confirmed provenance, is a true collector's item prized for its classic Fender tone.
The amp has been fully tested and works great with no issues. The controls have been optimized, with the potentiometers (pots) having been professionally cleaned to ensure smooth, scratch-free adjustment. Cosmetically, this amp is in great shape for a machine nearing 60 years old, showing only the obvious and expected signs of wear and use on the tolex and hardware that add to its authentic vintage character. We would like to mention that it seems as though the back panel has been replaced as it is missing the screw holes and fits on the amp tightly.
Please Note: While the circuitry and components appear to be all original, we are unable to definitively verify if any components have been replaced over the decades. Please do your own research. We urge all potential buyers to refer to the extensive, detailed photos provided of the internal circuitry and chassis to verify the condition, components, and originality for yourself prior to bidding. This is a very rare amp in this amazing, fully functional condition, ready for the studio, the stage, or a prominent place in any serious collection
